About

Luke Carter is a  British artist living since 2018 in Germany. He studied in Bristol, UK,  receiving a Degree in illustration . As of early 2023, He has also completed a Diploma in Painting and Printmaking at the Leipzig Academy of Fine Arts.
 
His artistic practice includes linoleum and woodcut printmaking , oil and acrylic painting and drawing. Thematically, he often works with themes of sexuality, queerness and masculinity. In addition, ideas around family, childhood and mental health also appear in his images.

Along with his personal practice he also works on larger scale urban art projects, murals and stages for festivals and runs creative workshops.
